It's vered too much towards the same bands year and year and somehow at the same time moved away from the folk and towards to math rock (a lot of quite generic math rock at that). Although still, the music is mostly fantastic.<br /><br />But my biggest bugbear is that having been to other festivals with significant post-headliner activities, Trees just becomes too quiet after the main act has finished. A couple of hours of tent drinking maybe, at a stretch the (hugely overrated) silent disco, but mostly a very quiet, atmosphereless bunch of fields. That used to suit me, but having experienced the thrill of a festival all nighter with a cornicopia of activities and delights to visit it felt rather... dull last year.<br /><br />It's still really good, and will suit some people down to the ground. But I don't think it can be claimed that it shred all over other music festivals - it caters to a very particular type of music fan and person, and sometimes it's nice to experience a festival with a larger variety of personalities.Sam Rodwellhttp://www.facebook.com/samrodwellnoreply@blogger.com
